Alexander specializes in antitrust law, particularly in areas of unfair competition and monopolists activities, state procurement regulation, particularly in challenging limiting tender’s documentations and illegal tenders results, corporate law, in particularly in preparation of Joint Venture and performance of reorganization, due diligence, consumer rights protection.

Alexander was engaged into the following successfully delivered projects:

  • Successfully represented Baker Hughes in the complaint filed by a Gazprom’s subsidiary with the Russian anti-monopoly regulator claiming that our client was violating the terms of a tender for providing drilling equipment for the Kirinskoye gasfield.
  • Supporting Zeppelin Russland during a dawn raid conducted by the FAS Cartel Department in its joint investigation with the Eurasian Economic Commission’s Antirust Department.
  • Provided comprehensive support to a major baby-food manufacturer contesting restrictive conditions of technical documentation and the results of open e-tenders for public contracts before the antimonopoly authorities and state arbitration courts; reviewed the manufacturer’s day-to-day compliance with the effective law.
  • Provided comprehensive support to Mars and certain premium car importers in audits held by the antimonopoly authorities to check these clients’ compliance with the antimonopoly law.
  • Conducted a due diligence review of a major car retail chain, a global producer of goods for the furniture and construction industries, and a major Russian meat producer.
  • Advised Mars and certain premium car importers on cooperation arrangements with their distributors/dealers, promotion and marketing events.
  • Gave a number of antimonopoly training sessions to Mars employees.
  • Carried out restructuring of an international airport operator.
  • Successfully represented Volkswagen Group Rus and Nissan Motor Rus before courts of general jurisdiction in product liability disputes. Represented many clients before the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia to approve purchase deals for shares/securities of Russian legal entities.
