Inna has more than 10 years’ extensive experience of providing overall legal support for real estate and construction projects, with focus on construction of complex industrial investment projects, both Greenfield and Brownfield. Inna specialises in structuring real estate construction and reconstruction, permitting matters, land law and zoning issues, industrial safety and environmental matters; subsoil and maritime matters. 

Inna has vast experience of drafting and negotiating full range of construction-related agreements, including project management, contractor and design agreements (with substantial part of EPC contracts), day to day support of projects implementation in multi-jurisdictional environment. 

Inna has also vast experience of providing comprehensive advice on various aspects of industrial and commercial real estate operation, including diverse regulatory requirements, safety, utility and infrastructure issues, lease transactions, etc. 

Inna has been selected by peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in Russia 2021 in the field of Real Estate Law. For several years in a row, Inna Firsova was nominated to appear as the “rising star” and “one of the leading practitioners” in the Guide to the World’s Leading Construction Lawyers annually produced by Euromoney Legal Media Group. 

Inna holds a Master of Law (with distinction) from Manchester University.

Track Record

Some recent projects Inna has been involved in include:

  • Provided comprehensive legal advice to South Stream Transport BV on construction of the Russian Sector of the submarine gas pipeline on the Black Sea sea-bed: land acquisition, spatial planning, construction, permitting and regulatory, water use and protection, environmental, maritime, special protected natural territories, corporate, finance, etc.
  • Provided legal support to Rosatom/ Akkuyu NPP for a nuclear power project in Akkuyu, Turkey, including on EPC services, project financing, technology transfer and other related matters (together with Pillsbury law firm).
  • Represented an Embassy in reconstruction of the embassy building in Moscow. 
  • Supported Rushydro project on construction of a cascade of hydroelectric power plants in Kirghizia.
  • Provided overall day-to-day legal support of Pushkino Logistics Park operations, including construction and reconstruction issues, drafting and negotiating construction and infrastructure agreements, property leases, etc.
  • Provided overall legal support of one of major logistic parks in Moscow Region, including drafting standard forms of construction-related agreements and lease agreements.
  • Supported Kimberly-Clark factory construction in Moscow Region. 
  • Supported Greenfield industrial projects of Lafarge Cement on construction projects for industrial facilities in five Russian regions. This included subsoil use, licensing, the acquisition and re-categorisation of land plots (forest and agricultural land), turnkey construction, infrastructure and environmental aspects. 
  • Supported Moscow reconstruction project of Data Space (structuring the project, construction and permitting issues, etc.).
  • Represented Mars in negotiation with regard to the lease of the premises for Mars Moscow headquarters.
  • Represented Kimberly-Clark, Iron Mountain in leasing the national warehouse hubs for Russia; represented Royal Canin in series of negotiation with regard to the lease warehouse premises in different Regions of Russia.
