Senior Associate

Anna’s area of expertise is antitrust and competition law. She has broad experience of advising clients on various antitrust matters, including public procurement, abuse of dominance, merger control, anticompetitive agreements in particular cartels and anticompetitive coordination. Anna regularly represents clients in courts challenging decisions, orders and warnings of competition authorities. 

Alongside Russian law, Anna is educated in some areas of the EU and German law.

As a member of the Antitrust and Competition team, Anna takes part in projects relating to advising and representing clients before competition authorities, antitrust audits, commercial and compliance policies for Russian and foreign clients.

Track record

Some of Anna’s recent projects include:

  • Representing Novatek group of companies in court challenging the acts of the Russian competition authority that accused the client companies of an abuse of a dominant position by tying and refusal to deal gas.
  • Representing VimpelCom in an antitrust case of an alleged abuse of dominance by tying, excessive and discriminatory pricing as well as in a court dispute over an alleged abuse of dominance by setting unreasonably high prices for bulk SMS messaging services.
  • Advising Federal Freight Company in an antitrust case over an alleged abuse of dominance by excessive pricing and challenging the decision and the order of the competition authority in court.
  • Acting for Sberbank in court in challenging a competition authority decision on violation of the procurement law.
  • Supporting a major Russian manufacturer of construction materials in challenging an order issued by the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia (FAS) as a result of a merger clearance procedure.
  • Assisting a market participant with drafting responses to the FAS requests as part of clearance of a deal between Yandex.Taxi and Uber.
  • Supporting manufacturers of electronics and medical equipment during the FAS antitrust compliance audits.
  • Advising a major Russian stevedore company during an investigation held by a competition authority over alleged abuse of dominance by excessive pricing for service at ports and subsequently challenging the decision and order of the competition authority in court.
