International Tax Review Recognises Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (Russia) LLP as Tax Firm of the Year in Russia

European Tax Awards 2018 has named Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (Russia) LLP winner in the Russia Tax Firm of The Year 2018 category. The results were announced at the awards ceremony in London on 17 May.

European Tax Awards have taken place annually since 2005 to recognise leading international tax professionals from around Europe. This award is hosted by the International Tax Review, a premium edition that provides a source of intelligence on key tax areas for tax professionals in industry, government, the private sector and research.

The criteria used by the jury to assess the nominees include a track record of major cross-border, complex and precedent-setting instructions, tax team size and much more.

Evgeny Timofeev, Partner and Head of Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (Russia) LLP’s Tax Practice, comments: “Our team has won the Russia Tax Firm of the Year award for the second year running.” We are grateful to the competition organisers and jury for their appreciation of our performance. Over the last year, we have received a broad range of exciting cross-border and domestic mandates. To name just a couple, we helped a leading pharmaceutical company develop a collaboration model between a pharma manufacturer and pharmacy chains and won a landmark dispute for Wine Brandy Plant Alliance-1892 LLC by proving to the Supreme Court that import VAT deductions had been adjusted unlawfully”.
