Goltsblat BLP's Competition & Antitrust practice is ranked in Band 1 in the Chambers Europe 2018 Guide

Goltsblat BLP, the Russian practice of Berwin Leighton Paisner, which will operate as Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (Russia) LLP from April 2018, has been named in the Band 1 ranking for Competition & Antitrust in the prestigious Chambers Europe 2018 Guide, published in March 2018. Our Moscow-based Competition & Antitrust team is now top-ranked by all leading guides and directories (Chambers Europe, Legal 500, Global Competition Review and Pravo.ru).

According to Chambers Europe 2018: the team climbs to the top tier as a result of consistently strong performance and visibility in high-stakes cases. Primarily active and best known for its practical experience of competition disputes, it also assists with abuse of dominance cases and FAS investigations, including in the regions of Russia. The Practice offers antitrust compliance support and advisory services in M&A clearance, as well as commercial contract matters. Clients particularly value the team for their practical advice on investigations by Russian competition authorities. "They are really good in representation before the FAS in investigations: writing explanations, giving evidence", a client says, while another source notes that they offer "practical solutions."

Partner and Practice Head Nikolay Voznesenskiy (Band 1) receives praise from clients, who describe him as "very straightforward”, he “explains all complications that a case might have," adding that "he's a very good negotiator. He can find interesting solutions."

Partner Vitaly Dianov (Band 4), who was promoted to partnership in 2017, moves up one position as a result of an impressive track record and positive feedback. “He is particularly notable for his experience in contentious competition matters, including cartel investigations and compliance issues,” - comments Chambers Europe 2018.
