Goltsblat BLP, the Russian practice of the international law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP), has joined the Russian-German Chamber of Industry & Commerce (Deutsch-Russische Auslandshandelskammer, or AHK).
A leading platform bringing together over 800 companies, the AHK promotes the interests of German corporates doing business in Russia and Russian firms active in Germany and other German-speaking countries.
Enhanced cooperation with the AHK is in line with Goltsblat BLP's strategy of expanding our European presence and will further our relations with German-speaking clients. Currently, we have more than 125 clients from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, etc., including Axel Springer Russia, AstraZeneca, Deutsche Bank AG, Kronospan, Rehau, Raiffeisenbank, Nord Stream AG, Philips and Volkswagen Group, to name just a few.
Goltsblat BLP German Desk is led by Head of Commercial Practice Alexey Gorlatov, who has worked in German-speaking countries, both in-house and in consulting. Goltsblat BLP works in close cooperation with BLP's other offices, including in Berlin and Frankfurt, to support projects with German involvement in such areas of law as real estate and construction, infrastructure, corporate/M&A, banking and finance, litigation/international arbitration, regulatory, commercial, etc. Our international team leverages off extensive industry experience and offers unique expertise in comprehensive international deals and a deep understanding of local business specifics wherever our clients need us, be it Germany, Austria, Switzerland or other European countries, Russia or the CIS.
Alexey Gorlatov, Head of Goltsblat BLP Commercial Practice: “Our AHK membership stems from enhanced relations with our clients in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and I am positive it will be mutually beneficial to both us and the AHK”.
Stephan Krampe, BLP Partner in Frankfurt, commented on Goltsblat BLP joining the AHK: “Goltsblat BLP’s membership of the AHK reflects its strong German client base and the legal cross-border capabilities of the firm. It will help us better understand clients’ needs and concerns in a difficult environment and should, in my mind, be seen as a clear signal to the market that Goltsblat BLP, in collaboration with BLP Germany, has the clear goal of establishing itself as the first choice for legal services for any German-Russian business undertaking.”
