Goltsblat BLP advises that the following individuals are appointed as new partners with effect from 1 May 2011:
Ekaterina Dedova (Corporate/M&A);
Elena Trusova (IP and Dispute Resolution);
Yuri Chenobrivtsev (Real Estate/Construction).
The company's generally high development rates serve as the basis for the considerable growth demonstrated by its Corporate/M&A, Real Estate and Construction and Dispute Resolution practices over the last year. Appointment of the new partners for these key practices testifies to the growing demand for services from clients seeking advice in the given areas.

Dr. Ekaterina Dedova, specialises in corporate law, advising on M&A transactions, corporate restructurings, joint ventures and complex international deals. Some of the recent projects implemented by Ekaterina include: providing complete support for Prysmian S.p.A. on deal on acquisition of cable manufacturing plant in Russia; supporting Magna International with respect to potential acquisition of OPEL business in Russia and CIS; representing Alcoa in preparing and implementing the Russian part of a cross-border transaction to sell part of the Rank Groups business; acting for ROSNO on acquisition of a major interest in the insurance company OOO Strahovoy Capital (now - “VTB – Rosno”) from Vneshtorgbank fund and many others.
Ekaterina will be the fifth Corporate/ M&A Partner, working as a member of the team headed by Anton Sitnikov, Partner, Head of Corporate/M&A.
Elena Trusova spesialises in IP-disputes, commercial disputes, unfair competition cases, international arbitration, bankruptcy. Some of the recent projects implemented by Elena include: acted for TechnoNICOL in litigations involving protection of rights to trade marks and unlawful use of trade marks on the Internet; represented Reckitt Benkiser in litigations on a TV commercial, as well as on unlawful use of a trade mark in a TV commercial; successfully protected the rights Several leading companies in the fashion and cosmetics business, as well as a leading company in the motor industry in court disputes over unlawful use of trade marks in domain names by Russian cyber-squatters; represented the biggest Russian grain terminal operating in the Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (Russia's largest commercial sea port operator) in litigation case on challenging the Russian anti-trust body decision on accusation in violation of competition laws (monopoly high price for grain loading); acted for Erick van Egeraat Associated Architects in several arbitration cases in Moscow and Stockholm relating to disputes over debt collection and compensation of more than USD 4.3 million for infringement of copyright to the Capital City and Barvikha Hills architectural projects; represented Vimpelcom in a court action concerning infringement of copyright and related rights as a result of use of a famous Russian song in a TV commercial, and many other.
Elena will be the third Dispute Resolution Partner.
Yuri Chernobrivtsev focuses on investment projects support, due diligence on real property, commercial and industrial real estate transactions, land law and construction issues. Some of the recent projects implemented by Yuri include: advising Auchan in connection with acquiring an existing hypermarket chain in Russia: legal due diligence, deal structuring, drafting and negotiations of contracts, etc; advising Sheremetyevo International Airport (Moscow) in connection with syndicated lending for terminal reconstruction purposes: financing, information disclosure matters, drafting and negotiation of mortgage, antimonopoly regulation, public tenders, etc.; advising Gefco in connection with acquiring site for construction of logistic park in Moscow Region: legal due diligence, deal structuring, drafting and negotiation of contracts, antimonopoly regulation, advising on construction authorizations, drafting and negotiation of contracts related to designing and construction of the logistic park, etc.; advising BV Development in connection with acquiring a development project in Krasnodar: legal due diligence, deal structuring, drafting and negotiation of contracts, town planning, etc.; advising Alfa Bank, AstraZeneca, Motorola, Philips, Procter&Gamble, Sanofi-aventis, Unilever in connection with office lease projects to accommodate the companies national headquarters: legal due diligence, drafting, review and negotiation of contracts, etc.; advising RP Capital in connection with acquiring an office complex “Silver City”: legal due diligence, drafting warranties and representations related to real estate, participation in deal negotiations, etc, and many other.
