BLP opens new Russian office with over 70 lawyers in Moscow.
Today, 19 January 2009, Andrey Goltsblat and Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP), a leading British law firm, announced the opening of the new offices of Goltsblat BLP, created as a result of their merger.
The new firm has more than 70 attorneys including 7 partners (until 16 January 2009, employees of Pepeliev, Goltsblat & Partners).
Andrey Goltsblat will head the new office. The partners joining the new firm will include: Anton Sitnikov (Corporate/M&A), Vitaly Mozharowski (Real Estate and Construction).
Partners in the new company will also include Elena Barinova (Real Estate Investment and Finance), Anton Rogoza (Corporate/M&A), Vladimir Tchikine (Customs & Exchange Regulations) and Ekaterina Tilling (IP).
This, one of the biggest Russian legal teams, together with capabilities and experience of a leading English law firm, combines the longstanding expertise of the best professionals in the spheres of both Russian and English law.

The new company will provide a complete range of legal services. Alongside corporate law, M&A consulting, real estate and dispute resolution services, the new firm will serve its clients’ needs regarding energy and natural resources, labour law, IP, customs, tax and commercial law. British lawyers working in Goltsblat BLP will provide support for projects in the spheres of finance, corporate law and corporate finance, as well as real estate and infrastructure projects. They will cooperate closely with their colleagues from the London BLP office. This will provide our clients with “one-stop shop” solutions, meaning they will no longer need to apply to two different legal firms, a Russian and a foreign one.
